Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the ordering process work?
It’s simple! First, choose the product you’d like to order from our website. If you don’t already have dental impressions from your dentist or a previous order with us, you can add our optional impression kit to your order. The kit includes everything you need to easily take your impressions at home.
If you order an impression kit, we’ll ship it to you first. Once you’ve taken your impressions, just email us a few clear photos of them. We’ll then send you the return instructions and the nearest return address.
As soon as we receive your impressions, we’ll begin crafting your custom order. Once it’s ready, you’ll get a photo of the finished product for review before we ship it to your delivery address.
- Do I need to order an impression kit?
All of our products are custom-made based on your dental impressions to ensure a perfect fit. Without impressions, your appliance wouldn’t fit.
If you don’t already have recent dental impressions (either from your dentist or a past order with us), you’ll need to order our Impression Kit. It’s easy to use at home and includes everything you need.
- How are your products made?
Our products are crafted by experienced dental technicians in a professional orthodontic lab that serves dentists and orthodontists worldwide. We use high-quality materials from industry-leading manufacturers, and each product is custom-made based on your individual impressions.
- How long does production take?
Our typical production time is approximately 10–20 business days, starting from the day we receive your impressions in usable condition.
Please note that this is an estimated timeframe, not a guaranteed delivery date. As our products are handmade and custom-made to order, production times may vary depending on lab workload and demand.
If we anticipate a significant delay, we’ll notify you by email. Production does not begin until we have received and reviewed your impressions (whether physical or digital).
- Are customizations possible?
Yes! All of our products are custom-made, and personalization requests are welcome. You can add any specific requests in the “Comments” field during checkout.
If a requested customization isn’t feasible or would involve additional costs, we’ll let you know before we begin production.
- What if my device doesn’t fit properly?
If your custom device doesn’t fit as expected, contact us right away. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue - including free adjustments or a remake if necessary.
- How do I know which product is right for me?
If you’re looking for a dental device for medical/treatment purposes, you must consult with a licensed orthodontist. As a dental laboratory, we cannot offer diagnosis or treatment recommendations.
- Can I use your products for treatment purposes?
Our products may only be used for treatment by licensed orthodontists. They are not intended for self-treatment and should never be used for medical purposes without supervision by a qualified orthodontist.
Our products are not a substitute for care provided by a dentist or orthodontist. We do not offer treatments, consultations, or diagnoses. Always consult a licensed orthodontist for medical advice.
- What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna (for EU customers).
- Can I make changes to my order?
If you’d like to make changes to your order - such as updating the product or changing the shipping address - please contact us as soon as possible: Contact
- Can I cancel my order?
If you’d like to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation is only possible before production has begun.
If your impression kit has already been shipped, we can cancel and refund the remaining part of your order that hasn’t yet been made or shipped.
If you simply want to change or add a product, there’s no need to cancel - we’re happy to update your order for you.
- Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide from the USA and the EU! We have return addresses in the USA, UK, and EU for your convenience. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and tracking is included with every order.

The sender address only shows our fulfillment provider to ensure maximum privacy.
- Do you ship to PO Boxes or to a DHL Packstation?
Yes! We can ship to PO Boxes via USPS from our U.S. fulfillment center, and to a DHL Packstation from our German fulfillment center with DHL.
For delivery to a DHL Packstation, please enter the Packstation and number (e.g. “Packstation 123”) in the “Street address” field and your DHL post number (Postnummer) in the “Apartment, suite, unit, etc.” field during checkout.

- How do I return my impressions?
After you’ve taken your impressions, please email us a few clear photos of them. Our team will review the photos to make sure the impressions are suitable. Once approved, we’ll send you the appropriate return instructions and the address of our nearest return location (in the USA, UK, or EU).
- Do I have to pay for shipping when sending my impressions back?
The shipping costs calculated during checkout cover only the shipment(s) from us to you. Since we ship worldwide, we’re unable to include or pre-calculate the cost of return shipping for your impressions and we cannot generate return labels for every country’s postal service.
This means return shipping for impressions must be covered by the customer - except for orders within the USA. For U.S. customers, we provide a prepaid USPS return label.
For all other countries, you can return your impressions using any local postal service or courier of your choice.
- Do you offer refunds?
As long as your custom-made appliance hasn’t entered production yet, you can cancel your order. If an impression kit has already been shipped, we’ll deduct the cost of the kit and shipping from your refund.
Once your product has been manufactured, refunds are no longer possible due to the custom nature of our items – they are made specifically for you and cannot be resold or reused.
That said, if something doesn’t fit quite right, we’re happy to offer repairs or adjustments to make sure you’re satisfied with the result.
- Which items are non-refundable?
All custom-made products are non-refundable, as they are made specifically to fit your unique dental impressions and cannot be resold or reused.
Impression kits are also non-refundable due to hygiene reasons.
- Which items can be returned and refunded?
Any retail items that are not custom-made and not hygiene-sensitive can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund.
If you'd like to return an eligible item, please contact us first before sending it back.
- Do you store my impressions for future orders?
Yes! Unless you request otherwise, we archive your impressions for approximately 1-2 years. This allows you to place future orders without needing to send new impressions - provided your teeth haven’t shifted.
If you’d like us to use your archived impressions for a new order, simply mention it in the “Comments” field during checkout.
- Is it hard to take impressions?
Not at all! Our impression kit makes it easy to take impressions at home. It comes with a step-by-step instruction guide, and we also provide a video tutorial.
The kit includes enough impression material for two attempts in case the first one doesn’t go as planned. If needed, you can always order a replacement kit.
Before we begin production, we carefully check your impressions to make sure they’re suitable.
- What if my impressions don’t turn out well?
We carefully review every impression before production. If your impressions are not usable, we’ll contact you directly. You can then retake your impressions. If you’ve run out of impression material, we offer a discounted replacement kit.
- Can I send 3D scans instead of physical impressions?
Yes! We’re happy to work with intraoral 3D scans instead of physical impressions. You can simply email us the .STL files as a reply to your order confirmation email, or send them via a file transfer service like wetransfer.com.
- What if I already have an impression or plaster model?
If you already have a physical impression or plaster model, you can email us a few clear photos by replying to your order confirmation email. We’ll then provide you with all the instructions for sending it to us.
If you're sending a plaster model, please make sure it's undamaged (e.g., no broken tooth edges), as this is important for accurate production.
- Can I reorder without new impressions?
Yes! We store your dental models securely for about 1-2 years. As long as your teeth haven’t changed, you can easily reorder without taking new impressions.
This means return shipping for impressions must be covered by the customer – except for orders within the USA. For U.S. customers, we provide a prepaid USPS return label.
For all other countries, you can return your impressions using any local postal service or courier of your choice.
- My impressions have arrived, but I haven’t received a confirmation yet – what should I do?
Once your impressions arrive, it may take a few days for them to be processed. If you’ve sent your impressions to one of our return hubs (e.g., in the UK or USA), please note that they are first consolidated there and then forwarded in batches to our lab. This transfer process can take about a week.
As soon as your impressions have arrived at the lab, you’ll receive a confirmation email. From that point, production typically takes about one week.
- Can I really buy retainers online?
Yes! You can easily buy retainers online through our website. We create fully custom retainers online based on your dental impressions or 3D scans. Our retainers are professionally crafted in an orthodontic dental lab - the same quality as you would receive from an orthodontist, but at a fraction of the price.
- How does the process work to buy a custom retainer online?
It’s simple! Choose the retainer type you want (e.g., Hawley retainer, clear retainer, or wrap-around retainer) from our shop.

- How are your products made?
Our products are crafted by experienced dental technicians in a professional orthodontic lab that serves dentists and orthodontists worldwide. We use high-quality materials from industry-leading manufacturers, and each product is custom-made based on your individual impressions.
- Are online retainers as good as retainers from an orthodontist?
Absolutely. Our retainers are made in the same professional orthodontic dental lab that produces appliances for dentists and orthodontists worldwide. Whether the order comes from a dental professional or directly from a private customer, we use the exact same high-quality materials, processes, and standards - there is no difference. You are receiving the same level of craftsmanship and quality that orthodontists rely on.
- How long does it take to get my retainer?
Production typically takes 10-20 business days after we receive your impressions. Shipping times vary based on your location. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process.
- How long do retainers last?
With proper care, clear retainers typically last 6–12 months, while Hawley retainers and wrap-around retainers can last several years. We recommend having a spare retainer in case of loss or damage.
- Can I order a replacement retainer online?
Yes! If we have your impressions or 3D scan on file, you can easily order a replacement retainer online without needing to send new impressions (as long as your teeth haven’t changed).
- Is it safe to buy a retainer online?
Yes, as long as your teeth are stable and you are not using the retainer for active treatment. Our retainers are designed for retention purposes only and are not intended for orthodontic movement. Always consult with a licensed orthodontist if you have concerns about your dental health.
- How much does it cost to buy retainers online?
Our prices are typically 60–70% lower than what you would pay at a dental office, while offering the same high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Check the product pages for current pricing.
- What if my online retainer doesn’t fit properly?
We carefully check your impressions before production, but if your custom retainer doesn’t fit as expected, we offer free adjustments or repairs. Just contact us and we’ll help resolve the issue.
- Can I use your retainers for teeth straightening?
No. Our retainers are intended to maintain your current tooth position, not to actively move teeth. They’re not a substitute for orthodontic treatment or aligner therapy.
For medical advice or active treatment, always consult a licensed orthodontist.
- Are these real palatal expanders?
Yes, we manufacture these appliances using the exact same materials, fabrication process, and quality standards that we use for orthodontists and dentists worldwide. Whether the appliance is ordered for demonstration, educational purposes, or by an orthodontist for treatment, the quality is identical.
However, it’s important to understand that a palate expander is only one part of an orthodontic treatment plan. Proper diagnosis, adjustment, and monitoring by a licensed orthodontist are essential.
- Can these expanders be used for actual treatment?
These appliances are designed to the same standards used for clinical orthodontics. However, as a dental laboratory, we do not offer treatments, medical advice, or diagnoses. Our appliances can only be used for treatment under the supervision of a licensed orthodontist.
If you are considering using a palatal expander for treatment purposes, it is absolutely essential to consult with a qualified orthodontist to ensure safe and appropriate use.
- Which palate expander is right for me?
Choosing the right expander - whether a Schwarz Appliance, 3-Way Schwarz, RPE Appliance, or Sagittal Appliance - depends entirely on your individual orthodontic needs, which can only be assessed by a licensed orthodontist.
We do not offer medical consultations or recommendations. If you are unsure, please speak with your orthodontist before placing an order.
- Can I customize my expander (e.g., color, design)?
Yes! Each expander is individually handcrafted to your specifications, and customization is absolutely possible. During the ordering process, you’ll have the option to select acrylic colors and other customization features. Please check the product configurator for available options for each appliance.
If you have any specific customization requests beyond the standard options – such as particular design features, preferences for the wire layout, or other details – you can simply add these in the “Comments” field at the final step of the checkout process.
Since every appliance is made to order based on your preferences, we’ll review your notes and contact you if we have any questions about your request.
- How does the process work?
Simply choose your desired appliance from our website. If you don’t have existing dental impressions, you can order an impression kit. Once we receive your impressions, we fabricate your custom appliance and ship it to you.
If you already have an intraoral scan, you can send the .STL files via email or file transfer.
- Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide from the USA and the EU! We have return addresses in the USA, UK, and EU for your convenience. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and tracking is included with every order.

- Do you offer instructions on how to activate the expander?
No. Activation and adjustment of any orthodontic appliance, especially expanders with activation screws, must only be done by a licensed orthodontist.
- Can I use your impression kit for ordering an expander?
Yes! If you don’t already have dental impressions, you can order our impression kit. It contains everything you need to take impressions at home.
However, please remember: Having accurate impressions does not replace professional consultation. If you plan to use the expander for treatment, a licensed orthodontist should still guide the entire process.
- Are these real orthodontic appliances?
Yes! We manufacture the same orthodontic appliances that we produce for dentists and orthodontists worldwide. Each appliance is made using professional orthodontic materials and the same fabrication techniques we use for clinical orders.
However, please note: While these are technically real appliances, they are made for demonstration, display, educational purposes, or personal use, not for medical treatment unless prescribed and supervised by a licensed orthodontist.
- Do I need an impression to order a functional appliance?
Yes. Like all of our products, functional appliances are custom-made to fit your teeth based on dental impressions.
If you don’t have recent impressions, you can order our easy-to-use impression kit as part of the ordering process.
- Do these orthodontic appliances actually move teeth or jaws?
No. While these appliances are made with the same materials and appearance as clinical devices, they are constructed to not apply active orthodontic forces. This makes them ideal for demonstration, teaching, cosplay, photoshoots, or collectors – without affecting your dental alignment.
For any orthodontic treatment involving jaw or tooth movement, a licensed orthodontist must be involved.
- Which orthodontic appliance is right for me?
As a dental laboratory, we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Only a licensed orthodontist can determine which appliance is suitable for a specific orthodontic purpose.
If you are ordering for educational or demonstration purposes, the choice depends on the aesthetic, educational, or display needs you have. Each appliance has its own characteristic design and appearance.
- Can I customize my functional appliance (e.g., acrylic colors, design)?
Yes! You can select your preferred acrylic colors and several add-on options directly in the product configurator during the ordering process.
If you have special requests (such as design adjustments or visual preferences), you can also add these in the “Comments” section during checkout.
Every appliance is individually crafted based on your specifications.
- Can I use orthodontic appliances for cosplay, photoshoots, or theater?
Absolutely! Many customers order these appliances for cosplay, costume events, theater productions, photoshoots, or simply for fun.
They provide an authentic orthodontic look without any functional effect on your teeth or jaw.
- Is it safe to wear these appliances for fun or display?
Yes, as long as the appliance is used for short-term display, photos, or demonstration purposes. Our appliances are made from dental-grade materials commonly used in orthodontics and do not exert orthodontic forces. However, they are not intended for long-term continuous wear.

- Are your fashion braces realistic?
Absolutely. Our cosmetic braces appliances are handcrafted by professional dental technicians using the same materials and components used in real orthodontic appliances. They look incredibly realistic on photos, video, and in person, making them ideal for film productions, theater, cosplay, or photoshoots.
- What are these braces used for?
Our fashion braces are designed as realistic props for photoshoots, film productions, theater, cosplay, or any situation where the appearance of wearing braces is needed – without any dental function. They are purely cosmetic and do not move teeth.
- How do I order fake braces online?

- Which model is best for me?
Each model has its own advantages, depending on your needs:
- The Clear Retainer with Brackets offers the strongest retention and does not affect speech, since it fits snugly over the teeth. It’s highly secure but may show a slight shine from the clear material if viewed very closely.
- The Hawley Retainer with Brackets looks the most realistic from the outside, as there’s no clear layer covering the teeth. It does, however, have a palatal acrylic plate, which may cause slight speech adjustment at first.
- The Bracket Appliance with TPA provides the maximum realism (just like the Hawley style) but without any impact on speech, since it has no palate coverage. It stays in place using molar caps rather than a retainer over the teeth.
- How are your products made?
Our products are crafted by experienced dental technicians in a professional orthodontic lab that serves dentists and orthodontists worldwide. We use high-quality materials from industry-leading manufacturers, and each product is custom-made based on your individual impressions.
- Are your removable braces functional or for cosmetic purposes only?
Our removable fake braces are strictly for cosmetic and visual purposes only. They are not functional orthodontic devices and cannot move or straighten teeth.
They are designed to simulate the look of real braces for temporary wear in non-medical settings.
- How do I get the right size?
Just like with all our custom-made dental appliances, we create your cosmetic braces based on your own dental impressions for a perfect fit. If you don’t have impressions yet, you can order one of our easy-to-use impression kits as part of your order.
- What if my device doesn’t fit properly?
If your custom device doesn’t fit as expected, contact us right away. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue – including free adjustments or a remake if necessary.
- How long does it take to make my prop braces?
The typical production time is about 10–20 business days after we receive your impressions.
Since each appliance is handmade and custom-fitted, production times can vary depending on lab workload.
- Can I choose bracket colors for my removable braces?
Yes! You can choose the color of the elastic ligatures (the small rubber bands) directly in the product configurator when placing your order.
This allows you to fully customize the look of your cosmetic braces - whether you prefer a classic silver/metallic look or colorful ligatures for a more playful, realistic, or character-specific appearance.
- Can I use costume braces for cosplay?
Absolutely! Many customers order our appliances for cosplay, theater, or costume events. They offer a convincing braces look without any permanent commitment.
- Do you offer rush production for urgent projects?
If you need your appliance by a specific date (for example, for a film shoot or stage performance), please contact us before or dering.
We’ll let you know if expedited production is possible based on our current schedule.
- How do I care for my cosmetic braces?
Clean your appliance with water and a soft toothbrush after each use. Do not use hot water or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the materials and affect the appearance.
- Am I a candidate for clear aligners?
Yes, if you have mild to moderate crowding, spacing, or minor rotations.
Our aligners are designed for cosmetic corrections, not bite or jaw alignment. You can take our free pre-check to see if you’re a good fit. If your case is too complex, we’ll let you know before any charges are made.
- What’s included in the package?
Everything you need for your treatment. That includes a personalized 3D treatment plan, and your custom clear aligners. You also get support from our dental technician team throughout your journey. If you don’t already have dental impressions, you can easily take them at home by adding our impression kit to your order.
- What if I need more aligners than my package includes?
No problem. You can simply order additional aligners per step. We’ll always show you your options after reviewing your impressions and creating your treatment plan – no surprises.
- Can I choose to treat only my upper or lower teeth?
Yes - with the Light and Moderate packages.
You can choose upper, lower, or both arches. The Extended package is always for both upper and lower arches together.
- Are the aligners really invisible?
Yes. Our aligners are made from crystal-clear, BPA-free medical-grade material. They’re nearly invisible when worn - most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.
- What if I lose an aligner?
Contact us right away.
We’ll advise whether to move to the next aligner, go back a step, or replace it. Replacements may incur a small fee.
- How long does treatment take?
It depends on your case, but most treatments take 2 to 6 months.
Each aligner is worn for about 7–10 days, 22 hours a day. We’ll provide a timeline in your 3D plan before you approve treatment.
- Is post-treatment refinement possible?
Yes. If you’d like minor touch-ups after completing your plan, you can order a Refinement Package. It includes a new impression kit (optional), updated plan, and a few additional aligners.
- Is there a guarantee or refund policy?
Yes - and it’s designed to be fair.
If you're not a candidate after we review your impressions, you'll receive a full refund for your aligners and the treatment plan.
If you decide not to proceed after receiving your 3D treatment plan, we’ll only charge a $99 planning fee to cover the design and simulation work.
Once your aligners are produced, they are custom-made and non-refundable - but we’re here to support you through every step.
